As a result of the COVID-19 emergency, registered charity Pavilion Dance South West (PDSW) has announced its temporary closure until August 2020. Ahead of the announcement, PDSW has been adapting and creating new innovative digital solutions to keep communities connected, updated and active during isolation.
The shutdown of cultural life is something that has hit the nation. The British public enjoys nothing more than a trip to the cinema, a stroll around a museum or watching a live performance, and it is much-loved venues like PDSW that provide valuable entertainment which brings people together from all walks of life.
Responding and rethinking its approach to communication, PDSW has been busy working alongside its digital branding agency CuCo Creative, to prioritise the venue’s long-term offering and deliver creative digital content and solutions to its audience, to help them remain connected.
Transforming communities through dance, PDSW has undergone a range of impactful changes to its website over the recent weeks. The first change is, that instead of customers booking online for a class or to watch a performance they now have the option to view performances or classes from the comfort of their own homes.
Secondly, digital branding agency CuCo Creative has supported PDSW with the inclusion of its donations link on its website. This optional donations page is for customers and stakeholders to give a good-will donation to support the charity during this difficult time.
