Earlier this year, the Prom Café situated on Bournemouth’s bustling Pier Approach reopened its doors to the public, after undergoing a large extension, revealing its modern new look.
The Prom Café, which is owned by BCP Council, attracts millions of tourists each year and has noticed a large increase in customers, with an impressive 25% of its income being taken in the winter months.
With this growing custom, the BCP saw an opportunity to dramatically transform the brand and was keen to grow with its ever-increasing popularity, amongst both locals and visitors alike. Branding agency, CuCo Creative, worked with the Prom Café to design its new contemporary logo, along with front of house signage, in house menus, banners and marketing materials.
CuCo designed the identity, with a focus on the three quarters cut letter ‘O’ which represents the rising sun, over an invisible horizon – perfect for the Prom Café’s enviable location.
In addition to the logo, the menus played a key part in the brand refresh as research suggests that the Prom Café’s customers value the eateries speed of service and convenience. With this insight, CuCo designed a clean and contemporary menu which is easy to navigate, appealing to those customers who were happy to enjoy a convenient bite to eat and then head back to the beach.
Due to the fantastic success of the Prom Café since its launch in 2015, the brand has heavily expanded, opening various Prom Kiosks along Bournemouth’s busy beach, and a family-friendly American Diner, which CuCo we’re pleased to have also designed the branding for.
