Recently, branding and digital agency, CuCo Creative, was approached by Dorset Meat Company, to build and design a vibrant new B2C website and logo, giving the brand a contemporary new look and feel.
Founded by Jane and Nick Somper, the Dorset Meat Company is an online meat retailer, which provides grass-fed, outdoor-reared meat from 20 traditional, family-run farms based in Dorset and Wiltshire. Since launching, they have noticed a significant spike in business, with demand growing from customers across the region and an ever-increasing portfolio of local farms they are working alongside.
With an extensive portfolio within the food and drinks industry, CuCo were appointed to build and design a simple yet effective website, which confidently brings together the foodie conscious consumer directly to the ecology and holistic farmer. Using rustic photography, showcasing their range of partners and adding emphasis on their provenance and traceability when it comes to health and wellbeing, the dynamic e-commerce site soon came to life.
Applying keywords to highlight their diverse offering, for example, words such as, gluten-free, and natural grass-fed, supported the positioning of the brand online, within the highly competitive modern foodie market. Besides the development and design of the website, CuCo also created a recognisable brand logo, giving the original logo an uplift and something to wow their existing customer base and also attract new customers to the brand.
